Private Piano Lessons for children, homeschoolers, college students, adults and older adults by a university-trained experienced qualified MTNA Piano Teacher is an excellent choice at any level of experience and ability. In their private piano lessons, each student will experience an encouraging learning environment where individual abilities and preferences are developed through exciting literature, motivational rewards, positive performance experiences, and the best in pedagogical approaches. I teach children and adults at their own individual pace and create a program of piano study that's uniquely based on each student’s interests, abilities and goals. Close communication between piano studio and home keeps parents involved and assists them in being supportive partners, thereby helping to ensure maximum success for each student. If you are ready to begin piano lessons or seriously considering it soon, please contact me for current rate information and a complimentary interview. My rates are affordable and competitive with area piano teachers of similar training, education and experience. I accept beginners and early intermediate through advanced levels and children age 5 to older adults. As of this date, I have a few openings available. |

Are you looking for a highly qualified Professional Piano Teacher with over 20 years experience, a masters degree in piano performance/pedagogy, an active member of the Music Teachers National Association, and a registered piano teacher with the Hartford Chapter of the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association?
I have a passion for teaching, and have been providing piano instruction to a diverse group of piano students, from very young children to older adults. Some are beginners, others are dedicated amateurs looking for artistic fulfillment, while other more experienced musicians seek advice on technical issues or new perspectives of interpretation.
I offer a balanced program of piano instruction for children, teens and adults which includes: classical, jazz, blues, contemporary and popular styles, theory, improvisation, ear training, sight-reading, piano technique development, memorization, musicianship and music history.
My emphasis is to teach each piano student how to listen, how to practice, how to analyze a piece of music, how to prioritize, how to get organized, and how to perform well. My ultimate goal is to help each piano student reach his or her potential through playing with musical understanding, technical ease, expression, and most importantly, to have fun playing the piano.
As a special service, I offer in-home piano lessons for busy professionals and their families, saving travel time, gas costs, not to mention, vehicle wear and tear. Students receive their piano lessons in a familiar, secure, and safe environment year round. I offer morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend time music classes for your convenience. For more information, please contact me about in-home piano lesson availability and scheduling if you live in Berlin, Kensington, East Berlin, Newington, Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Farmington, Avon, Glastonbury and northern areas of Cromwell and Middletown.
Simply music making - having fun learning and playing the piano - is what it's all about.
